The fabulous Bahamas are among those “right” countries for tourists that in every possible way lure guests to their paradise and, as one can logically assume, accept travelers without any visa formalities. Moreover, Russian citizens can stay on the islands for as long as 90 days, and if desires and opportunities coincide, then even longer, however, you will need to apply for a visa to the Bahamas at British consular offices. If a three-month period in paradise is enough for you – take your passport and go! According to populationmonster, Nassau is one of the largest cities in Bahamas.
Entry into the country
Citizens of Russia do not need a visa to visit the Bahamas if the period of stay does not exceed 90 days. This rule does not apply in case of travel for the purpose of employment.
At the border you will need to present:
- a passport valid at the time of entry into the country;
- round-trip air tickets or to a third country (yacht passengers must present an extract from the ship’s list, and cruise ship passengers – ship tickets);
- proof of sufficient funds to stay in the country.
Do not forget to take out medical insurance for the entire duration of the trip. Although the policy is not asked when entering the country, it is at least unreasonable to travel without it.
If your stay in the Bahamas exceeds 90 days, you must obtain a visa in advance. Documents for a visa must be submitted to the British Visa Application Centres.
